Dr. Joya Griffin

Dermatologist from “Disney + “Pop goes the vet”

Dr. Joya Griffin is an Ohio native who graduated from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating, she completed a rotating internship in Chicago and then returned to Cornell for dermatology residency and then served one year as instructor. She became a Diplomate of the College of Veterinary Dermatology in 2010 and joined Animal Dermatology Clinic in Louisville. Dr. Griffin is the star of Pop Goes the Vet with Dr. Joya on NatGeoWILD and Disney Plus. She’s privileged to expose viewers to the world of dermatologyand the care she provides for her patients. She loves mentoring and teaching students of all ages and is an internationally recogized speaker at industry-leading conferences across North America and Europe. She also serves as a member of multiple animal health advisory boards providing expert consulting in the field of dermatology. Outside of work, her greatest joy is her three children who daily amaze, tire, and inspire her.
