Dr. Jen Flower

Disney zoo veterinarian and on Disney +

Dr. Jen Flower is a board-certified zoological medicine veterinarian with more than 15 years of experience caring for an exceptionally diverse range of patients. Her work spans zoo, exotic, aquatic, wildlife, and companion-animal medicine—from manatees, sea turtles, giraffes, and rhinos to dogs and cats requiring emergency care. This breadth of experience has shaped a career grounded in adaptability, collaboration, and a deep appreciation for the bond people share with animals of every kind.

Dr. Flower currently practices zoo, exotic, and aquatic medicine through her roles with Disney’s Animals, Science and Environment and the Orlando Science Center. She also works as an emergency veterinarian, providing medical and surgical care for critically ill and injured dogs and cats. Previously, she served as Chief Clinical Veterinarian at Mystic Aquarium in Mystic, Connecticut, where she led veterinary operations, animal welfare programs, rescue and rehabilitation efforts, research initiatives, and student training programs.

She is especially passionate about mentoring students and young veterinary professionals, advancing compassionate and practical animal care, and sharing the excitement of zoological and aquatic medicine with the next generation.

Dr. Flower is honored to support CARES and its efforts to expand access to veterinary resources, education, and support for pets and the people who love them.
